HGBC Overall Championship at PRISAA 2026, Eyes Regional Meet

MALLIG, ISABELA - HGBaquiran College, Inc. (HGBC), emerged as the Overall Champion in the recently concluded Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) - Provincial Meet 2026, a three-day intercollegiate sports competition held from January 21 to 23, at Mallig Plains Colleges, Inc. in Mallig, Isabela.

Hosted by Mallig Plains Colleges, Inc., the provincial meet gathered student-athletes from four participating institutions:
* HGBaquiran College, Inc. (Tumauini, Isabela)
* Our Lady of the Pillar College (San Manuel, Isabela)
* WorldStar College of Science and Technology, Inc. (Roxas, Isabela),
and the host school Mallig Plains Colleges, Inc (Mallig, Isabela)

Carrying the theme “Inspiring Dreams, Igniting Passion, Innovating Pathways to the Olympics,” the Provincial Meet PRISAA 2026 showcased intense competition, sportsmanship, and teamwork. HGBC athletes demonstrated focus, discipline, and determination across various sporting events, allowing the college to secure top placements that ultimately led to its overall championship victory.

The achievement marks a major milestone for HGBC athletics, reflecting the institution’s growing strength and consistency in intercollegiate sports. More than earning medals and recognition, the victory highlights the collective effort of the athletes and the strong support of the HGBC community behind them. This overall championship also serves as a crucial preparation for upcoming regional competitions, as HGBC sets its sights on representing the province in higher-level meets.
